Bernard Dick - Artist

Grand Canal 18½" x 24"

Southern Trees 15" x 20"

I had a solo show of 24 works in the Little Theater Cafe on East Avenue, Rochester, NY during the month of July. The Little Theater is the premier art film theater in Rochester and its cafe offers steller live music and monthly exhibits of good art.

With Zanne Brunner, Curator of the Cafe art shows.

Through the end of May at "Dansville ArtWorks" solo gallery, Main Street in Dansville, New York. This is a personally satisfying location for me as my family is from Dansville, originally. Many folks buried in Holy Cross Cemetery are my deceased relatives! My show inaugurates the "ArtWorks" new gallery for solo shows.

Most of my images are from our travels. Not surprisingly, people often buy my work because they, too, have travelled to that country or location. This is true of "Ryan's School, Ireland". The buyer had recently travelled to Ireland and the Dingle Peninsula and had viewed the film "Ryan's Daughter" which had been filmed on the Dingle Peninsula. The ruins of the building used in that film is the subject of my painting.

Solo show at the VB Brewery in Victor, New York, 160 School Street. Lots of wall space that took 25 of my works. Reception was March 26, 2017.

My good friend and former student, Trish Linfoot Stallins just sent me pictures of the show we are both in out in Denver Colorado at the Globeville Riverfront Gallery. I wish I could have been there. Trisha was nice to let me know about the show so I could enter. The "theme" was work inspired by photographs. The assemblage "Home" is Trish's work.
